The tradition

In Champagne, each large format carries the name of a biblical king or patriarch: Jeroboam, Rehoboam, Methuselah, Salmanazar, Balthazar, Nebuchadnezzar, Solomon, Melchizedek. A tradition the houses have kept for generations.
These bottles are not served like the others. They are presented, announced, shared. A Jeroboam during the speeches, a Nebuchadnezzar opening a gala: it is the image your guests photograph, and the one they remember.

Availability depends on the house and cuvée and is confirmed in the quote. The largest sizes need more lead time. One glass ≈ 12.5 cl.

How much lead time?
Allow 3 to 4 months for a personalized size. The largest sizes may need more: the exact lead time is confirmed in your quote.
Is every size available in every cuvée?
No: availability depends on the house and the cuvée. We check with the house and offer you the best option for your event.
How does ordering work?
Like all our imports, the order goes through the SAQ private import program. We handle the steps and guide you throughout.
